New Deputy Lord Lieutenants for Lancashire named

FIVE new Deputy Lieutenants have been appointed in Lancashire.

The line up includes leading business bosses, a retired radiologist and the county’s former High Sheriff.

Their role will be to assist the Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire, The Lord Shuttleworth KG KCVO, in his duties as the Queen’s representative in the county.

They include TonyAttard, OBE, of Grimsargh, the Chief Executive and founder of Burnley based textile company Panaz.

Mr Attard is also well known as the Chair of Marketing Lancashire and a board member of Creative Lancashire.

Steve Jackson OBE of Penwortham, the founder and Chief Executive of innovative Preston charity and business Recycling Lives also joins the team.

Mrs Amanda Parker JP of Clitheroe, the county’s former High Seriff, who is a Justice of the Peace, has taken up the new role.

|So too has has retired Lancaster Royal Infirmary radiologist Dr Janet Lavelle, who is chair of governors at Lancaster Girls Grammar School.

The line up is completed with Lt Col Rosemary Stone of Lytham St Annes (Former SO 1 Engagement, 42 Infantry Brigade).

The Lord Lieutenant arranges visits by the Royal family,escorts royal visitors presents medals and awards on the Queen’s behalf and liaises with local military services.
