Met Office issues fog warning

Thick fog is forecast for tonight and into tomorrow morning for the North West.

Extremely poor visibility is expected - down to just 100m in some areas.

The fog is expected to become heavy from about 9pm tonight and continue into Monday morning - affecting rush hour traffic.

Drivers are warned to allow extra time for their journey, slow down and drive according to the visibility.

The fog is expected to slowly clear throughout tomorrow morning, finally becoming fully clear at about lunchtime.
