Memory walk is for 'anyone who has had their lives affected by dementia'
The event aims to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society by walking around the park roughly nine times
A memory walk to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society will take place next month.
The event - organised by Bamber Bridge Women’s Shed begins at 10am, with the meeting point at Withy Grove Close car park and the walk beginning in the park.
The date for the event is September 20, and participants are welcomed to “share an incredible day’ with those who know what it is like to be affected by dementia.
A spokeswoman said: “It will take a society to beat dementia, so gather your people and come along to support us for as little or as long as you can manage.

“Share advice, laughter, and support at Bamber Bridge Memory Walk. And when you finish the route, celebrate knowing you have walked for a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
“We recommend that anyone participating in Memory Walk arrives at the event site from 9:45am.
“The route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs however, due to the weather, the route may become unsuitable.
“Please note the route and distance is subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.
“We are aiming to raise £175, or as much as we can, by walking around the park roughly nine times for 175 minutes (about 2 hours 55 minutes) so we can support more people affected by dementia now, and in the future.”
