Meadow Bank Care Home in Preston receives new CQC rating
A care home in Preston has received a new CQC rating.
Staff at Meadow Bank Care Home, located on Meadow Lane are celebrating after receiving a ‘Good’ rating in all five areas following its most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
After visits in December, inspectors rated the home as ‘Good’ for being Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led, recognising the high standards of care provided to residents and the dedication of the staff team.
The positive result reflects Meadow Bank’s ongoing commitment to creating a safe, supportive and compassionate environment where residents receive high-quality, person-centred care.
Many people and relatives spoke highly about the service with one resident claiming they felt “happy and safe living here”.
Another added: “Staff are welcoming, kind-natured and efficient.”
It was also noted that the home was clean and well maintained, and relatives could visit when they wanted. The food was freshly prepared at the home and people enjoyed the meals.

The CQC inspection assessed how well the home protects residents’ safety, meets their individual needs, supports their well-being and is led and managed.
