Man's body found inside house in Preston

Police, paramedics and crime scene investigators were spotted by residents in Emmanuel Street, Plungington, at around 3.30pm.

Officers have now confirmed they discovered the body of a man after responding to a concern for welfare call.

Detectives have ruled out foul play and a file will be passed onto the coroner in due course.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We were called to Emmanuel Street, Preston, just after 3.30pm today (March 23) to reports of a concern for welfare.

"Emergency services have attended and a man was sadly found deceased.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course."
