Man in his 70s seriously injured after being hit by car on Colne Road in Brierfield

A man in his 70s was left seriously injured after being struck by a car in Brierfield.
Officers were called to Colne Road following reports a man had been involved in a collision with a silver Toyota Urban Cruiser at around 5.51pm on Sunday, December 14.
The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital with “serious injuries” where he remains at this time.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “His family are being supported by specially trained officers.”
Officers are now urging anyone who witnessed the collision, has information, or has CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist the investigation to come forward.
