Man found dead at property in Preston

A man in his 40s was found dead inside a property in Preston, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were spotted outside the address in Cross Street at around 11.10am today (March 22).

Detectives attended, as did crime scene investigators, and they have now ruled out foul play.

"We were called at 11.12am today (March 22) to reports of a sudden death at a property in Cross Street, Preston," a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.

"Emergency services have attended and, sadly, a man in his 40s has been found dead.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be passed onto the coroner in due course."

The man has not yet been named.
