Man, 73, seriously injured in Barton collision

Around 3pm on Monday, November 2, a 73-year-old man was involved in a collision with a blue Skoda Fabia close to the Green Man canal bridge on the A6 Lancaster Road.

He suffered a broken leg, punctured lung and head injury and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for more than three hours while accident investigators attended.
