M61 traffic is stopped southbound between Chorley and Bolton North due to collision

Traffic has been temporarily stopped on the M61 due to a collision.

Highways England say the stoppage is southbound at junction 8 Chorley to junction 6 Bolton North.

Traffic Officers and Lancs Road Police are currently at scene,

North West Ambulance are on their way to the area to assist.
