A Lancaster man has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a woman and physically attacking her shortly after she underwent surgery.

The victim reported the incidents to police, stating that Timothy Talbot-Johnstone punched her in the stomach shortly after her surgical procedure.

She made a further report of sexual assault.

Talbot-Johnstone, formerly of The Piazza in Lancaster, was found guilty by a jury of assault causing actual bodily harm after a trial in September last year.

He then pleaded guilty to an offence of sexual assault at a hearing last December.

At a hearing on March 31, Talbot-Johnstone, 53, was sentenced to five years and three months in prison.

He was also issued a 10-year restraining order to prevent any further contact with the victim.
