Ex-Coronation Street actor among 21 stars taking part in second series of BBC reality show
Lancashire actor Julie Hesmondhalgh will be among the contestants taking part in the second season of the BBC’s Celebrity Traitors.
The popular reality game show will see 21 stars head to the infamous Scottish castle in the Highlands for the chance to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the game follows the celebrity contestants – the majority of whom are known as faithfuls – as they try to seek out the murderous traitors among them, who kill off players in the middle of the night.
Accrington’s Julie is best known for her role as Hayley Cropper in Coronation Street between 1998 and 2014 and has recently won an Oliver award for her stage work.
She will take part along with fellow actors Richard E Grant, Bella Ramsey, Myha'la, Michael Sheen, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney, broadcasters Amol Rajan, Maya Jama and Professor Hannah Fry, comedians Miranda Hart, Joe Lycett, James Acaster, Joanne McNally, Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan, model Jerry Hall and music stars James Blunt and former Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock along with Love Island presenter Maya Jama and content creator King Kenny put to the ultimate test by the game.
