Lancashire Police issue statement after death of man at Lancashire Steam and Vintage Festival
“Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this distressing time.”
Lancashire Police have released a statement after a man died at the Lancashire Steam and Vintage Festival yesterday.

Reports first emerged last night that a man had been taken ill at the festival and sadly died at the scene. The death of a man was then confirmed by the festival’s organisers earlier today.

Lancashire Police have now acknowledged the man’s death in a statement released this afternoon. A spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.50pm yesterday to Salwick Road, Wharles, to a report a man was unresponsive.
“The emergency services attended and despite the best efforts of medical personnel, a man in his 60s was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this distressing time. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed in due course to HM Coroner.”
