A Lancashire retail park is set to lose one of its Matalan stores this weekend.
The national clothing and homewares retailer was first launched in 1985, but recently announced a number of store closures across the UK.
Among the stores impacted is the Colne site on North Valley Retail Park, with the shop scheduled to close for good on Saturday, March 7.
An exact reason for the closure has not been confirmed, but Matalan said its priority is to “support our colleagues”.
A spokesperson for the company added: “We are working closely with all those affected and, where possible, exploring alternative positions. We have thoroughly enjoyed serving customers at the retail park and hope they will continue to shop with us at our nearby Accrington or Blackburn stores.”
