Child images shame

A MAN who was found with a stash of indecent images of children has been given a suspended jail term with 100 hours unpaid work.

Jamie Jones, 25, of Stockdale Crescent, Bamber Bridge, admits possessing 90 images deemed category B and C - A being the most serious - and making indecent photographs.

Magistrates imposed a rehabilitation requirement and a sexual harm prevention order, with a £60 surcharge and £85 costs.

PRESTON: A man was found with a blade at a police station, magistrates have heard.

Alfie Bryan, 50, of The Paddock, Fulwood, Preston, admits possessing a knife at Preston Police Station and also admits breaching a conditional discharge.

He will next appear before Preston Crown Court on August 9 to be sentenced.

BAMBER BRIDGE: A court has ordered a pitbull dog called Goody to be destroyed unless it is listed on the Index of Exempted Dogs, neutered, microchipped, muzzled, registered and insured.

Owner Lesley Waddell, 49, of Dean Street, Bamber Bridge, was given the order by Preston Magistrates’ Court.

PRESTON: Rebecca Carlisle, 22, of Bidston Street, Preston, was given eight weeks suspended for 12 months after she was found guilty of assaulting a woman.

She must pay £80 compensation and £400 costs.

PRESTON: A man has been found guilty of using racially aggravated threatening behaviour or words in an incident in February in Preston.

David Broadbent, 35, of Fishergate Hill, Preston, had denied the offence before Preston Magistrates’ Court.

The bench ordered him to pay a £210 fine, £160 fine, £21 surcharge and £500 costs.

PRESTON: Lee Evans, 37, of Leadale, Lea, Preston, has been ordered to do 80 hours unpaid work after he was found guilty of assaulting a woman and a man.

He had denied the offences before Preston Magistrates’ Court.

He must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £620 costs.

CHORLEY: Iain Bland, 33, of Lakeland Gardens, Chorley, was ordered to do 60 hours unpaid work after he was found guilty of assaulting a woman.

He must pay a £60 surcharge and £200 costs.

Martin Williams, 46, of Freckleton Street, Kirkham, was banned for 12 months and given a curfew after admitting drink driving and must pay a £240 fine, £30 surcharge and £85 costs.

Stuart Davies, 62, of Geneva Road, Fulwood, Preston, was ordered to pay £300 compensation after admitting damaging a Renault car, smoke alarm and garden plants.

Sean Carberry, 45, of Barleyfield, Bamber Bridge, was banned for six months after being found guilty of driving without insurance and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £300 costs.

Paul Francey, 50, of Woburn Way, Preston, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £300 costs.

Michael Ryan, 26, of The Crescent, Bamber Bridge, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £300 costs.

Steven Dennis Marsh, 34, of The Martindales, Clayton-le-Woods, was given 16 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months, and a five year ban after admitting drink driving and must pay a £115 surcharge and £85 costs.

Biaron James Cross, 26, of HMP Preston, Ribbleton Lane, Preston, was found guilty of driving without a licence or insurance and was given six penalty points

Jonathan Brogden, 49, of no fixed abode, was given a 12 month discharge after admitting being drunk and disorderly in Leyland and must pay a £20 surcharge.

Shaun Ianson, 40, of Heathfield Drive, Brookfield, was given a six month discharge after admitting two counts of stealing booze and must pay a £15 surcharge and £128 compensation.

Adele Melanie Jackson, 43, of The Martindales, Clayton-Le-Woods, was given a 12 month discharge after admitting stealing goods from Asda and must pay a £20 surcharge, £85 costs and £12 compensation.
