'I walked to every Wetherspoons on the Fylde coast in one day but didn't have a pint' says Garstang YouTuber
‘I’m a solo traveller.’
Garstang YouTuber Joe Slater has completed one of the Fylde coast’s quirkiest challenges, undertaking a trip to every single Wetherspoons between Fleetwood and Lytham without downing a single pint.
Twenty seven-year-old Joe, who is famous for his online travel videos, picked a boiling hot day for his trek, so stuck to water as he visited the eight outlets. Starting out in Fleetwood at The Thomas Drummond, Joe’s 20-mile trek included many stops along the way - including at Cleveleys and Poulton - before he reached the finishing line at The Railway Hotel in Lytham.

“I had a water at each - it was a really hot day. It was so hot that I stuck to a glass of water and no stopping for food,” said Joe. “It was a tiring day but enjoyed it and would do it again.”
Joe posts videos of his travels both in the UK and internationally on his YouTube channel, including a recent 14-mile hike through a forest in Poland. Closer to home, Joe - who described himself as a ‘solo traveller’ - also recently walked 25 miles between seven Fylde coast McDonald’s, enjoying a cheeseburger in each before celebrating with 20 chicken nuggets at the end of his trek.
And now he has his eyes on visiting every Greggs in the Fylde coast, amounting to 10 outlets.

Joe, who works in the insurance industry, said: “It’s something I’ve been doing recently. I think up ideas which I believe will make good content, film them and post them on my channel, which is starting to get a good following.
“I am picking up the skills of filming and editing and am really enjoying everything connected with making the videos and hope to post more and more about my travels.”
Joe’s YouTube channel is called JoeSlaterTravels.
