The vehicle was at the entrance to the car park on Higher House Lane, Heapy, at around 6.15am this morning.
Chorley Fire Service extinguished the fire using a hose reel and crews requested the attendance of the police at the scene as the cause of the fire is thought to be deliberate. A joint investigation is now underway.
