Chaffinches dramatically squabbling over food have been captured by a Lancashire bird photographer.
Martin Goff was able to spot the birds energetically harassing each other in Haslingden on Wednesday July 15.
His picture highlights, a remarkable set of action shots, include one bird diving at another on a tree branch.
He said: "I was out photographing locally at a small nature reserve and I was sat in one of the hides just watching and waiting. There were plenty of birds visiting and the chaffinches were, as usual, squabbling and fighting over food."
