I lost my baby at two weeks old and want to honour her memory by opening a unique boutique
A grieving Blackpool family are appealing for community support to help create Olivia Rose Boutique, a new charitable space set up in memory of baby Olivia-Rose, who sadly passed away at just 18 days old.
A Blackpool family is appealing for community support as they seek to open a new charitable retail space in memory of their newborn daughter. The project, named Olivia Rose Boutique, follows the recent death of baby Olivia-Rose, who passed away at 18 days old.
The family, who already operate a local baby bank have launched a fundraising campaign to expand their existing service into a dedicated shop.
The proposed boutique would offer pre-loved and newly donated children’s clothing and essential items, including prams, pushchairs, baby baths and accessories.
All items would be available in return for a voluntary donation, with proceeds supporting local charitable causes.
According to the family, the aim is to provide “value, choice and dignity” to parents who may be struggling with the rising cost of essential baby items.

Many of the products have already been donated and will be cleaned and reconditioned before being made available in the new space.
Funds raised through the boutique will contribute to Better Minds Lancashire CIC, an organisation that provides mental health support, including for families experiencing grief.
The family has also pledged to donate any profits to additional charities supporting bereaved parents.
A JustGiving page has been created to help cover the initial costs of setting up the boutique, including securing a suitable premises, preparing the space and ensuring donated items are ready for distribution.
The family say the project will serve both as a community resource and as a tribute to Olivia-Rose, who they described as having made a “ripple effect” in her short life.
A spokesperson for the family said: “Following the recent passing of my baby daughter I am seeking funding to set up a boutique in her memory.
“As we already run a baby bank we are planning to create a dedicated retail space which will allow parents to make a donation in return for clothing and other items such as baby baths, prams, pushchairs etc.
“All of these have already been donated and will be reconditioned. We are hoping to offer value, choice and dignity in recycling unwanted and unused items which will raise money for Better Minds Lancashire CIC and we will also pledge to donate any profit to other charities which support parents whilst they are grieving.
“Even at her very young age Olivia - Rose will be remembered for her beautiful dresses and bows as well as the ripple affects she created in life and in her passing.”
