I am holding a fun day for my brave little boy who has leukaemia
A mum from Hutton whose six-year-old son has leukaemia is holding a fun day for him this weekend.
George Molloy, who is now six, was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia - a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many lymphocytes, when he was three and a half.

Since then he has underwent treatment at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and has one year left to go.
His mum Natasha Molloy, 35, who owns Matilda Rose Boutique said her son is the ‘bravest little boy’ and loves nothing more than spending time with his friends at Penwortham Primary School when he is fit do so.
She said: “We initially got told Georgie had reflux and it took several appointments and demanding to see a consultant that got us a diagnosis.
“Once we walked into the oncology ward at RMCH we realised just how many children are impacted by such a horrific disease and how it turns your family life upside down.
“Your life changes in a heartbeat forever more and it takes a lot of adjusting, we are two and a half years in and still some days it hits you like a tonne of bricks.”
Half of the money raised from the fun day will go towards George and his needs and the other to helping other sick children at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Nastasha added: “For the past two years we have held fundraisers at Hutton Hall but this year decided to do it at George’s school so he could be surrounded by all his school friends and siblings. “He is the bravest little boy. He has a smile that lights up a room and is cheeky and stubborn.”
