Houses cordoned off after stabbing in Preston
Police have cordoned off a number of houses in Ribbleton following a stabbing incident this afternoon.
Officers attended the scene in Longridge Road at around 2.30pm and several homes were taped off.
A man was found with stab wounds to his leg and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
Police later issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident.
A spokesman said: “We were called around 2.30pm today following reports of an assault in Longridge Road, Ribbleton.
“A man was found at the scene with stab wounds to his leg.
“Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. Enquiries are on-going.
“Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting log reference 0779 of August 9.”
