Homeward Bound called out to two separate incidents with dogs tied up and left outside in the cold
An animal welfare charity in Lancashire has posted two heartbreaking images of dogs being tied up and left outside in the freezing cold.
Both shocking incidents appear to have happened last night.
The first image shows a dog tied to a lamppost.
A spokesperson for Homeward Bound said: “This is becoming quite a theme tonight.
“Homeward Bound were also called out to this dog also tied up to a lamppost! FY3 area.
“However, the owner turned up and took the dog just before we arrived. It seems that there had been a disagreement and the partner decided to take the dog and tie up to a lamppost!”
They added: “If anyone has any information on this dog, we do have concerns regarding their welfare, so please call or text the Homeward Bound Duty phone on 07542678826 in confidence.”
Next up was a call coming through about a Frenchie-type dog found down a lane tied up to a fence with a food and water bowl left beside it.
The spokesperson added: “Volunteer David attended this job and the poor soul is freezing as is hairless as you can see.
“The dog is under our care tonight on welfare grounds.”
If anyone has any information on these dogs please call the Homeward Bound Duty phone on 07542678826.
