Heysham golf buggy driver banned for 12 months
A man who took a golf buggy and drove it down a road in Heysham was charged with drink driving.
Jamie Barrie Longton, 19, of Hall Drive, Middleton, was stopped by police on Trumacar Lane on the golf buggy.
Magistrates at Lancaster heard he was over the drink drive limit and had also committed an offence by taking the golf buggy without the owner’s consent.
He pleaded guilty to both charges and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay court costs of £115.
