There will also be giant mobile puppets, a Batala drum band, eight geodomes and a digital treasure hunt.

Live music will be performed on the Lancaster Music Festival stage, showcasing young people from across the district.

The geodomes, which are wicker structures, will reflect the area, its people and the park itself and are being created by Skerton High School, which closes this summer, and the Friends of Ryelands Park.

The Friends will also be leading other creative sessions in acentral marquee to help decorate the wellies and produce the fake moustaches needed for the conga line.
