What is Glastonferret?

Now entering its 19th year, Glastonferret is the original indoor turfed festival held atThe Ferret, Preston.

The four-day music event features live music, real turf & hay bales, food vendors, craft & vintage stalls, and “proper good times” say organisers.

The 2026 event also takes place during The Ferret’s 20th anniversary year so promises to be extra special.

What has been said about the 2026 event?

Speaking to the Post before the event kicked off last night, Matt Fawbert, director of The Ferret said: “ We are just getting ready for Glastonferret, the four-day festival that we hold every year and have done since 2007.

“There's bands all weekend- I think about 36 bands. We've got DJs outside, we've got stalls, food traders. So, it's a festival in the venue basically. We've put turf on the floor, so yeah, it's a real festival vibe.

“It's 20 years of The Ferret this year, but only 19 years since the first Glastonferret. So yeah, we're looking forward to a great weekend."
