Fresh proposals for 61 houses in Woodplumpton
Applicant Westchurch Homes wants to bring the build to a 2.23-hectare site in Lightfoot Lane.
If permission is granted, 248 Lightfoot Lane, known as Hope Villa will be bulldozed to make way for the development which will bring 18 affordable homes to the area.

Developers say the build will be sustainable with easy access to existing services and facilities, encouraging sustainable forms of transport.
Planning documents state: “The site is well connected in terms of the public transport network with frequent bus services to Preston city centre, Fulwood, Broughton, Royal Preston Hospital and Longridge.
“The nearest bus stop is on Lightfoot Lane, within 200m of the site, with further stops and services available within easy walking distance.”

Woodplumpton Parish Council has previously objected to plans for houses at the site.
Members were due to meet last night to discuss the planning application for the 61 homes.
Parish council clerk Julie Buttle said: “Our previous objections are likely to stand just on the access alone as the access point should be onto the North West link road.”
