Fishergate cordoned off and numerous police in attendance due to a distressed individual in Preston city centre
This evening (August 16), an ongoing police incident involving a member of the public in distress is taking place near Primark on Fishergate.

Lancashire Police said: “We were called at 5.20pm today (August 16) to Fishergate, Preston, to reports of a concern for safety. A male has climbed onto the roof of a building and is refusing to come down. We would ask people to avoid the area at this time.”
The area is currently cordoned off, with police and other trained specialists working to help the individual.
