Four fire engines from South Shore, Blackpool and Bispham attended a fire in the basement of a commercial property on Singleton Street.
Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus led one person and a dog to safety and used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
The blaze happened at around 4pm.
