A 30 year-old man has been arrested after he spent the night on top of a tanker outside the fracking site in Preston New Road, say police.
Traffic problems were reported along Preston New Road this morning during the protest.
The road fully re-opened shortly before 10am.
Police put a contraflow in place on the road at the fracking site and warned travellers to expect delays throughout rush hour.
A spokesman for the police said: "The road has re-opened following the protest.
"We arrested a 30-year-old man this morning on suspicion of wilful obstruction of the highway."
The man remains in custody.
