Dog rescued from smoke-filled home by Lancashire fire crews after blaze in Buckshaw Village
A dog was rescued from a smoke-filled home after a blaze in Buckshaw Village yesterday.
Firefighters from Leyland and Chorley were called to the home in Heyford Avenue, where a car was found ablaze on the driveaway at 1pm.
Arriving on scene, crews found the flames beginning to spread to the front of the home, as thick smoke filled the property.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the vehicle fire, preventing further spread, and a thorough search of the smoke-logged property was carried out.
There were no casualties, but firefighters rescued the family’s dog which was found trapped inside the smoke-filled home.
