Dylan Crossey's teammates to litter pick in his memory
Dozens of volunteers, armed with litter pickers, will hope to clear the riverbank of The River Ribble in Penwrotham as well as raising money in memory of 15-year-old Dylan Crossey.
The football-mad youngster was killed in October 2016 and his football team Penwrotham St Teresa`s FC will join Preston Bird Watching and Natural History Society in the clean up.

Last year more than one and half tonnes of rubbish was collected and with more than 100 people expected to attend, Society member Richard Hargreaves hopes to better previous picks.
“We’re hoping to cover a three mile stretch of the river and we’re glad it can be used to remember both Dylan and Martin,” the 52-year-old from Penwrotham said.
“The litter has a big effect on wildlife so I’m hopeful this year will be the best yet.”

Richard said: “We’re really glad that this can be turned into a fundraising event as well as a way to protect all the wildlife along the river.”
