Driver unhurt after car ends up on roof in Lancaster Canal

A car ended up on its roof in Lancaster Canal on Monday evening.

The vehicle was spotted by a Lancaster Guardian reader, who was first on the scene at around 11.30pm on Monday while he was out for a walk.

Police were called to the site, and a recovery vehicle was also called to help remove the vehicle from the water.

The driver was not injured in the accident.

The car had entered the canal close to Aldcliffe Road and Aldcliffe Hall Drive, near Aldcliffe village.
