Derelict former Preston care home goes up for sale - here's the guide price
The site has been vacant since the early 2020s and is now dilapidated.
A former Preston care home site has gone on the market.
Armisted Barnett has listed the former Greyrigg Care Home site in Broughton for a guide price of £1.5m, calling it “an exciting and rare Preston redevelopment opportunity”.

The 2.91 acre site off Garstang Road and closed to the Broughton Interchange, contains a central property - now badly dilapidated - that was originally a private Arts and Crafts style residence. This was coverted into a care home in the 1980s, and then closed in the early 2020s.
Following its closure various applications have been submitted, with the latest application seeking approval for access only for residential development of 23 dwellings still undergoing conseration by Preston City Council.
A standalone application to flatten the bungalow and build four dwellings in its place was rejected 20 years ago.
The outline proposal now on the table does not reveal the size or style of the houses planned - nor a definitive layout for the development. However, documents submitted to Preston City Council planners state that the number of homes suggested would be able to “fit comfortably within the site”, even if they were "predominantly detached”.
Tenders for the plot are to be with the agent by 12pm on Wednesday, August 19.
