The decade started with relegation, had a Wembley win in the middle and is ending with a table topping team pushing for promotion. Here's our attempt to pick the best XI from the last 10 years..
5. LB: Greg Cunningham
Was brought in on a free from Bristol City and then made the left back spot his own. Consistently up and down the left side in his three years at North End before a 4m move to Premier League Cardiff.
6. RM: Tom Barkhuizen
An eye for the spectacular and is simply unplayable on his day with record-setting pace, not to mention is tireless work rate. Barkhuizen has two Championship player of the month and two goal of the months awards so far.
7. CM: Ben Pearson
A revelation in the PNE midfield since that goal against Aston Villa at Deepdale (above). Pearson's tenacity and guile is matched by his ability to dictate and control a game. All action and one of the best in recent memory.
8. CM: Paul Gallagher
Difficult to sum up in such few words but Gallagher will go down as a legend at PNE. Seemingly timeless, his class on the ball has been unmatched over the past decade. Able to produce moments of magic from dead balls.
