Dates have been announced for 2026 Blackpool Airshow - here's everything you need to know
The dates for Blackpool’s popular Air Show have been officially confirmed for next year with the free seaside spectacular set to return in August 2026.
The Blackpool Air Show will take place on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August 2026, organisers have announced giving aviation fans and visitors plenty of time to plan ahead for one of the resort’s biggest summer events.
The two-day show, which is free to attend traditionally attracts tens of thousands of spectators to the Promenade and beach, offering dramatic aerial displays against the backdrop of the Irish Sea.
The event has become a firm fixture in Blackpool’s events calendar drawing visitors from across Lancashire and beyond.

While the full flying programme has yet to be confirmed previous editions of the Air Show have featured a mix of modern military aircraft, historic planes and precision aerobatic teams.
Popular attractions in recent years have included fast jets, display helicopters and classic warbirds, with flying displays typically taking place across both days, weather permitting.
Blackpool Council has encouraged residents and visitors to make a note of the dates early, as accommodation in the resort often fills quickly during Air Show weekend.
Businesses along the seafront also benefit from increased footfall during the event.

Further details, including confirmed display teams, flying schedules and safety information are expected to be released closer to the event.
The announcement marks the first major date confirmation for Blackpool’s 2026 events programme.
