Burnley magistrates were told how Kieran Morris (28) had wanted to see the child he had by his former partner, but had been told by her to do it through a solicitor.
Morris lost his temper and punched the ex-girlfriend’s partner in the face. He then kicked the victim’s car, causing large dents, before driving off.
The defendant, who had no previous convictions, admitted criminal damage and assault by beating in the Pendle area last December 12th.
Morris, of Wharfedale Avenue, Burnley, was given a five-week curfew, between 8pm and 7am, seven days a week and must pay £85 costs, a £60 victim surcharge and £400 compensation.
