Wanted man Carl Lewis hands himself over to police in Preston

A wanted man has handed himself over to police in Preston.

Carl Lewis, 34, has been arrested after he handed himself over to officers at a police station in Preston last night (Wednesday, January 29).

Lancashire Police had appealed to the public yesterday (Wednesday) to help locate Lewis after a violent robbery in which a man was dragged from his car in Fulwood on Tuesday.

He was had also been wanted in connection with the theft of a purse from Royal Preston Hospital.
