Van seized after drink drive suspect flees

Police have seized a van from a suspected drunk driver.

The van driver fled when he was pulled over by police in the Ribble Valley last night.

Officers seized the van and will be visiting the suspect's home today.

An officer from the Ribble Valley policing team tweeted: "Suspected drunk driver decides to do a runner instead of facing his actions.

"Shame he decided to leave his phone in his van.

"And thanks to his friend who text him letting him know the police were still with his van. He can await a knock on his door."
