Two men charged with raping girls as young as 14-years-old in Preston sex trafficking investigation

Two men have been charged with a number of alleged offences as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation in Preston.

Two men have been charged by detectives as part of an ongoing investigation into the trafficking and sexual abuse of women and girls in Preston.

Police launched an investigation in 2019 following reports of sexual assaults on a number of girls.

Amos O’Cheng, 51, and Dickson Ngaunde, 36, have now been charged with a number of alleged offences relating to six female victims aged between 14 and 19.

O’Cheng, of Winckley Square, Preston has been charged with several crimes including:

- Rape of a girl under the age of 16

- Four counts of rape of a woman 16 years of age or over

- Three counts of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation

- False imprisonment

- Attempting to supply Class A drugs

- Two counts of supplying cocaine and one count of supplying cannabis

Ngaunde, of Stanford Avenue, Brighton, Sussex is charged with:

- Rape of a woman over the age of 16

- Arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation

- False imprisonment

O’Cheng is due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 19.

Ngaunde appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 18 and was remanded in custody.
