Two men charged and named after Blackburn stabbing

Police were called to a report of an assault in Walnut Street shortly before 4pm on Saturday, April 3.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with a number of "serious" stab wounds. His condition has been described as stable.

Hide AdTwo men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder yesterday morning (Tuesday, April 6) following a "number of enquiries".
They have since been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service.
The two men are Mahtab Hanif, 22 and Ramzan Hanif, 24, both of Goldhey Street, Blackburn.
They are due to appear before Blackburn Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Thursday, April).

Hide AdDetectives are continuing to appeal for anyone with information or anyone with mobile phone, dashcam or CCTV to come forward.
