He changed his earlier plea of guilty to not guilty.
A trial date that had been set for today for a 17-year-old Chorley teenager charged with setting alight a nightclub has been pushed back until next year.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was 16 at the time of the blaze.

He has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life after a fire broke out at the Park Hall nightclub in Chorley.
He vacated his previous plea of guilty to not guilty.
At the height of the blaze, 10 fire engines and two aerial ladder platforms from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) rushed to the Park Hall nightclub at Park Hall Road in Charnock Richard on Tuesday, April 7.
Devastating pictures showed the aftermath of the fire ravaged building as the blaze gripped hold for around two hours. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Park Hall Nightclub which was forced to close due to the extent of the blaze has still not reopened.
A spokesperson for Park Hall Nightclub said at the time: “We are devastated to share that there was a fire, located in the offices above our venue.
“While areas have been significantly affected, the nightclub itself has sustained less damage than first thought.”
They added that restoration work would begin as soon as possible and that they hoped to reopen in the near future.
The teenager has been placed in a youth dentention centre until the new trial date which has now been set for January 2027.
