Train driver punched by girl after trying to break up brawl at Preston Railway Station

A train driver was punched in the head while trying to break up a fight between two girls at Preston Railway Station.

A concerned train driver approached two young girls after spotting them arguing on a platform at around 9.30am today (Monday, November 9).

When he attempted to separate the pair one of the girls reportedly punched him in the face, breaking his glasses and cutting his nose.

British Transport Police have confirmed they have the details of all involved and enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for BTP said: "A train driver at Preston saw an argument occurring between two juveniles on the platform, and being concerned he stepped in to separate the pair.

"The female punched him in the face, breaking his glasses and cutting his nose. We’ve details of all involved and enquiries ongoing."
