Three men arrested after brawl escalates outside Preston pub

A street fight outside a pub in Preston led to three men being arrested.

Police were called to reports a fight had broken out outside of The Hesketh's Arms in New Hall Lane at around 7.35pm yesterday (July 26).

Officers quickly descended onto the busy street, with images from the scene revealing around six police vehicles attended to break up the brawl.

Two men from Preston, aged 39 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of affray and given penalty notices for disorder.

A 49-year-old man from Preston was also arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs and given a warning notice for cannabis possession.

A spokeman for Lancashire Police said: "We were called at around 7.35pm yesterday to a report of public order offences at The Hesketh's Arms in New Hall Lane, Preston.

"It was reported a number of people had been involved in a disorder outside the pub.

"Two men aged 39 and 20, both from Preston, were arrested on suspicion of affray and given penalty notices for disorder.

"A 49-year-old man from Preston was arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class B or C drug and was given a warning notice for cannabis possession."
