Teenager stabbed during attempted robbery in Preston's Haslam Park

A 16-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the chest in Preston's Haslam Park.

The victim was walking home through the park when he was approached by two teenage boys riding bikes at around 3pm on Monday, November 16.

Officers say the boys then attacked the victim with a knife, causing a "small chest injury." He was later treated at Royal Preston Hospital.

Police would now like to speak to anyone who was in the park at the time of the attack and may have any information that could help identify the men.

Det Con Emma Fewtrell, said: "This was an attack on a boy who was simply walking home.

"We're working to establish who was involved and would ask that anyone who has information gets in touch with us as soon as possible."

The first offender has been described as around 16-years-old, 6ft tall, of slim build.

He was wearing a full grey tracksuit with his hood up and a patterned balaclava covering his face.

The second boy has been described as 16-years-old, 5ft 7in tall, of large build with scraggy black hair and facial hair.

He was wearing grey tracksuit pants and a navy raincoat.
