Teenager attacked and 'seriously injured' by group of men during Chorley robbery

A teenager was "seriously injured" after he was attacked and robbed by three men in Chorley.

A 19-year-old man was attacked in Dunham Drive, Whittle-le-Woods shortly after midnight on Saturday, September 19.

The victim was followed by three men in a dark-coloured vehicle before he was attacked and robbed of his personal belongings.

He suffered "serious injuries" as a result of the incident, and police are now appealing for anyone with information about the attack to come forward.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "It is believed that immediately after the robbery the suspect vehicle was driven along Lucas Lane and onto Town Lane.

"The direction of travel is unknown from this point therefore we urge you to check your footage on any video-doorbells, personal CCTV cameras and dash cams to ascertain whether you can identify a dark-coloured vehicle driving past your property at around midnight - 1am on Saturday, September 19.

"This is an isolated incident however we understand that this incident will cause a great deal of concern in the community and we urge you to report any suspicious activity on 101. We will continue to conduct enquiries to identify and apprehend the suspects."
