Teenage man arrested after two people stabbed in Rishton

Two people have been hospitalised and a man has been arrested following a double stabbing in Hyndburn.

Police were called to reports two men had been stabbed in School Steer at around 9.05am today (Thursday, December 24).

Two men were found with "minor injuries" when officers arrived.

Police have confirmed the two men were taken to hospital for treatment and an 18-year-old man from Rishton has been arrested on suspicion of affray.

A spokesperson from Lancashire Police said: "It was reported two men had been stabbed in the School Street area.

"Both suffered minor injuries and have been taken to hospital for treatment.

"An 18-year-old man from Rishton has been arrested on suspicion of affray and is in custody."
