Swerving 100mph drink driver charged after police chase in Lytham
A man in his 30s has been charged after a speeding Jaguar swerved past police and led officers on a 100mph chase.
In the early hours of yesterday morning, officers were on patrol Lytham when they spotted a Jaguar travelling at excess speed and swerving whilst passing their vehicle.
The officers gave chase but the Jaguar continued travelling at speeds of up to 100mph whilst straddling the centre line, driving onto the wrong side of the road and breaking harshly.

The driver was eventually stopped and blew 86 at the roadside - the legal limit being 35.
To top it off, the driver had no valid insurance and had been disqualified from driving earlier this year.
Lancashire Police said Campbell-James Simpson, 31, of Valentia Road, Blackpool was arrested and his vehicle seized.
He has since been charged with drink driving, driving whilst disqualified, driving with no insurance and driving without due care and attention.
