Suspected drug driver caught speeding on M6 with child in car arrested near Charnock Richard

Police stopped a vehicle on the M6 near Charnock Richard after it was spotted speeding and “driving in a dangerous manner” on Tuesday morning (July 26).
Officers were “extremely concerned about the driver’s behaviour” at the roadside and the fact he had two passengers – including a child – in the car with him.

Hide AdA 32-year-old man from Worcester was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs.
He remained in custody for questioning on Tuesday afternoon.
“Something that gets our ‘spidey senses’ going is when a motorist is driving well over the speed limit and dangerously weaving in and out of lanes,” a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.
“Something else that makes us feel something is ‘off’ is when a motorist is pulled over and they can’t seem to stop gurning at us and chewing their cheeks
“We’re not sure why, but something about it just doesn’t seem right.”
