Stolen championship-winning Lotus Elise race car believed to be in Lancashire
A championship-winning Lotus racecar stolen from a garage in the Midlands is now believed to be in Lancashire.
Owner Jon Langmead was 'devastated' after the brazen theft of his ‘pride and joy’ from a garage in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, last weekend.

His daughter Faith said her father left the car with mechanics on Saturday (February 28), and was heartbroken to learn thieves had driven off with it inside a trailer.
She said her dad bought the Lotus Elise 135R during lockdown and he has since won three hillclimb championships with the race car.

Now, with the hillclimb season only weeks away, his daughter said the theft has happened at the 'most horrendous time'.
“We've had a tip-off that it's now in Lancashire,” said Faith. “It’s highly modified, so very distinguishable, and it’s possible it’s still inside a white Brian James trailer with the registration K200LTS.

“My dad is absolutely beside himself as it is his pride and joy. He thought he was never going to see the car again and now it's a case of if we can get it back.
“The motorsport industry has been supportive and we've had thousands of shares. He's been looking forward to the start of the season next month and this has happened at the most horrendous time.”
