Ribbleton man Karl Bruney arrested by Lancashire Police after firearms incident in Preston

A man who was urgently wanted by police following a firearms incident in Ribbleton has been arrested.

Karl Bruney was wanted by police following a firearms incident which occurred in the Ribbleton area on Tuesday, August 2.

Officers launched an appeal to find the 33-year-old on Thursday (August 11) and urged anyone with information to come forward.

Police later confirmed Bruney, of Grange Avenue, Ribbleton, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent on Friday (August 12).

He remained in custody for questioning on Friday afternoon.

“Thank you to everyone who shared the appeal,” a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.
