Preston man jailed for possessing 18,000 indecent images of children

A man who was found with a haul of more than 18,000 indecent images of children has been jailed for 16 months.

Francisco German Gonzalez-Summers, of Connaught Road, Preston, appeared before Preston Crown Court were he admitted possessing indecent images of children, three counts of making indecent images, possessing a prohibited image of a child and possessing an extreme pornographic image involving a dog and horse.

The court heard 4,422 of the images were Category A - the most serious in law.

He was given a 10 year sexual harm prevention order restricting his internet use and contact with youngsters, and must sign the sex offenders register for 10 years and notify his details with police.

His computer was forfeited.
